Shot and scene logs are a must, as are detailed storyboards, equipment checklists, and release forms signed by everyone involved. After multiple pre-production meetings, a budget should be set, the script should be finalized, roles should be thoroughly defined, and a detailed daily schedule should be created. If these tasks are properly completed, expectations will be set, advancing the project to the next step of being completed the way it was envisioned.
